Davor Bruketa was born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated from Design School at the Zagreb University where he was teaching for several years. Whilst in school he started collaborating with Nikola Zinic. They founded the agency Bruketa&Zinic in 1995.
When the agency first opened its doors, most of their clients were from the field of culture, or radio stations or pharmaceuticals. Today, they have a very diverse list of clients and a workforce of 60 young and creative professionals.
The agency believes in always looking at things from another point of view and exploring and exhausting the technical boundaries of the medium.
Bruketa&Zinic has won countless international awards such as London International Awards, Cresta, Clio, Epica, ADC New York, Young Guns, New York Festivals, I.D., Red Dot, etc. Their work has also been published in many well-respected professional publications such as Grafik, I.D., How, Novum and Print Magazine and in numerous books including the American Design textbook Design Evolution: Theory Into Practice, Anatomy of Design, Step in Design and in other media from The New York Times to South Korean Television. Both American I.D. Magazine and How Magazine have voted them "Best of the Year" in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
Davor Bruketa is certainly no stranger to judging awards Shows. Apart from being a permanent member of New York's Cresta Grand Jury, he has also judged at D&AD, Moscow International Advertising Festival and Golden Drum.
He is also co-founder of branding agency Brandoctor. |
