LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
Japan Leads with 15 Statues, Thailand Wins 9
(London, November 12, 2007) – 34 Advertising, Design and Digital Media companies from 10 countries in Asia were recognised for their superior entries to the 2007 London International Awards held at the Hippodrome this evening. Now in its 22nd year, the London International Awards honours excellence in advertising, design and digital media.
57 entries from Asia in the mediums of Design, Digital Media, Package Design, Poster & Outdoor, Print, Radio and Television/Cinema have been chosen as Gold and Silver Statue winners.
The 36 companies from China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam that won Gold and Silver Statues include:

Vietnam: Ogilvy & Mather Vietnam won one Silver Statue in Print
Of the 17,660 submissions, only six percent (6%) reached Finalist status. Of those elite selections, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.5% were awarded Gold Statues. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when 2,600 submissions were considered.
“Our panel of top creative judges from all over the world thought the Asian work was very sophisticated and cut through, not just in terms of ideas but execution as well,” said Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. "As an organization devoted to acknowledging creative endeavours, we feel privileged to highlight the tremendous talent that is consistently showcased by Asia."
