London International Awards party says all attendees ‘fine’ following mass shooting in city

Judges and Organisers Safe at LIA Judging in Las VegasAs far as LBB is able to ascertain, the jury members and organisers at the London International Awards judging in Las Vegas are safe and well, having avoided the horrific mass shooting that took place in the city on Sunday night.

Organisers have told LBB that 'everyone here is fine'.

One jury member, who described the shooting as ‘an act of pure evil’, told of driving past the concert at the Mandalay Hotel just two hours before the violence began.

Members of the advertising and production world have flown into Las Vegas from all over the world to judge the awards. As is usual, the event takes place at the Wynn Encore hotel, which is situated at the opposite end of the Las Vegas Strip to the Mandalay.

At the time of writing, the shooting at the Route 91 country music festival at the Mandalay Hotel has taken at least 58 lives and is being described as the biggest mass shooting in US history. Our thoughts go out to those caught up in the fray.
