Emma Daines is Founder and CEO  of Fin Design and Effects.

 

Fin Design, with facilities in Sydney and Shanghai, is one of the most well reputed and highly awarded Visual Effects Companies in South East Asia.

Emma’s experience in the Advertising Industry spans nearly 35 years working in leading Post Production facilities in Melbourne, London, Asia and Sydney and working in Production in Australia, and Asia.

 

Having set up her own Production Company in Melbourne in the early 90’s, Emma made the move to London, returning to the world of Post Production, running the Facility Soho 601, London’s first digital Post Production House.

 

From London she then relocated to Sydney, Australia to take a Senior Producer role at Animalogic. Exposed to some of the most well known Directors and Producers locally and internationally, Emma became recognized as one of the most experienced VFX Producers in Australia.

 

After 5 years at Animalogic, in 2001, Emma cofounded a new and elite, boutique Visual Effects and Design House : Fin Design and Effects. 

 

Emma is most well noted for her Producing skills with an impressive wealth of knowledge and understanding of high end Visual Effects, it’s technicalities and her ability to manage a team to pursue ambitious creative results. She is recognized for her passion for the industry and innovative approach to extend and stimulate those around her in the pursuit for excellence.

 

Now sole owner of Fin Design, Emma has managed to build Fin up to be one of the most highly respected and awarded VFX Houses in South East Asia boasting numerous awards that include CLIO, Cannes Lion, New York  Festival Awards, Adfest, Axis, Award, Spikes.

 

In 2014 Emma broadened Fin Design and Effects beyond Australia, establishing an office in Shanghai. 7 years on, Fin Shanghai is now reputed as one of the leading VFX Houses in China.

 

Since then, Fin now has bases in Melbourne, Singapore and LA. The Fin group of companies boasts a talent pool of 80 people strong.

 

Emma is also a proud Co-Founder of the international organization ‘Owned By Women’ mandating gender parity and mentoring and empowering women in the advertising industry.

 

Emma’s steadfast approach to push boundaries, to stimulate creative and to seek challenges within herself and the people around her make her a standing force in the Advertising industry.
