Joey David Tiempo is the Founder and CEO of Octopus&Whale, a Game and Experience Design Agency based in Manila.
 

She was formerly the Executive Creative Director of Nuworks Interactive Labs, and before that, the Executive Creative Director for TBWA\Digital Arts Network. 
 

Joey’s body of work has been recognized at LIA, D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, AWARD and Webby, among others. She is a regular juror in the global awards circuit and has recently been invited as a specialist for emerging tech in D&AD Gaming and LIA Evolution and Creativity in the Metaverse.
 

Her biggest achievement to date has been to launch a successful start-up during a global pandemic. The experience led her to author FUTUREDESIGN, the Octopus&Whale proprietary strategic tool that helps organizations navigate through constant change. 
 

She is passionate about raising young creative talent, actively contributing to D&AD New Blood Academy and various local academic institutions.
 

She is also co-founder of the award-winning Manikako (My Doll), a non-profit group that teaches creativity and environmental responsibility to children.
 

Joey is a frequent speaker, thought leader and mentor to young creative entrepreneurs.
