Ciro Sarmiento was born in New York to Colombian immigrants. With 24 years of experience in both North and South American markets, he has gained leading roles in the U.S. creative industry working for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Anheuser-Busch, GlaxoSmithKline, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Mondelez, AT&T, DirecTV, KIA Motors, Chevy, Dunkin’, Pizza Hut, Hershey’s, Mars, Domino’s, Marshalls, Lowe’s, MillerCoors, Unilever, Coca-Cola, BBVA and Gillette.
After 7 years at Ogilvy & Mather, Ciro moved from Colombia to the United States to lead multicultural agencies Latinworks, Leo Burnett Lapiz and Dieste (Omnicom), focused on cultural impact for global clients through creativity and marketing solutions.
After 8 years of serving as CCO in Dieste, Ciro joined global firm Weber Shandwick as its first Chief Creative Officer in January of 2021, with the purpose of structuring the New York operation, along with building a stronger creative culture in the earned-first agency model.
An international juror with recognitions in creative and strategy awards, Ciro is former President of the USA Latin Creative Board. He has delivered bilingual keynotes at D&AD, TED Talk, Cannes Lions, Ojo de Iberoamérica and completed the Senior Management Program in Business Administration, Omnicom University / Harvard Business School, Babson College.
In September of 2022, Ciro joined Saatchi & Saatchi New York to lead the Tide, Downy, Procter & Gamble business under Woven Collaborative.
