A graduate of art and drama school, Jo has over 30 years of experience writing and producing award-winning radio commercials. As the Creative Director at Global, one of the world’s leading Media and Entertainment groups, Jo leads an industry-renowned creative team celebrated for pushing the boundaries of audio storytelling.
Under Jo's leadership, her team was named Best Creative / Production Team at Campaign's inaugural Radio Advertising Awards last year, solidifying their position as trailblazers in the industry. The team has consistently delivered innovative campaigns, such as commercial roadblocks, faux ad takeovers, live performances of ads in front of studio audiences, and immersive campaigns like a 3D audiobook excerpt recorded in a swimming pool. These bold ideas exemplify Jo’s philosophy of creating audio experiences that deeply resonate with listeners.
Her team has amassed numerous prestigious awards from international shows, including the New York Festivals, Mobius Awards, Sony Radio Academy Awards, Cannes Lions, and the London International Awards (LIAs). Their groundbreaking work continues to set new benchmarks in commercial creativity.
Jo's passion for nurturing creative talent extends beyond her team. She regularly holds creative workshops within the industry, sharing her expertise in crafting impactful audio campaigns. Her industry leadership is further reflected in her roles on international juries, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio Awards, and the London International Awards, where she has twice served as Jury President—at the LIAs in 2013 and Cannes Lions in 2018.
