Shannon Washington is an award-winning creative director, creative business leader, brand builder and culturist.
Currently Shannon serves as both the Chief Creative Officer and Managing Partner for creative studio 11 Ounces, where she focuses on crafting a new era of storytelling and experience in sports for a host of brands, teams and athletes. In tandem, Shannon also  consults for a small cohort of brands, creators and agencies. This new era of entrepreneurship comes after serving as the Global Chief Creative Officer at Gotham/McCann Worldgroup, a role she assumed after a successful tenure as US Chief Creative Office at R/GA.

Throughout her career, Shannon has steadily established herself as one of the rising voices of the new generation of Madison Avenue leaders, with the wins and accolades to back it all up. At R/GA, she successfully navigated the brand’s flagship office through a global pandemic, personally leading, pitching and converting over $30M in creative business to include TurboTax, Uber, Samsung, ESPN and Sephora. Most importantly, her penchant for transparency and mentorship proved to be her most important asset in stabilizing and supporting her community of over 100 creatives and designers. At Gotham, her streamlined approach to strategic storytelling led the agencies to a host of “firsts” including their first ever Webby + Clio honors, in addition to closing stubborn legacy sales gaps for some of Maybelline New York’s most iconic products.

In her spare time Shannon can be found actively leading and participating in industry conversations around creative leadership, cultural inclusion and technology, especially within the three categories she is most passionate about: women’s sports, finance and healthcare.
Shannon is a proud graduate of Howard University and reluctantly resides in the suburbs of her beloved New York City.

"Being a Creative LIAsons Coach was a truly memorable experience. It's very easy to get caught in the waves of executive level creativity, so getting to know, advising and staying in touch with my LIAisons mentees has been a great way for me to stay grounded as a leader, and ensure that the next generation has the human powered, critical thinking and craft skills — in addition to the fancy tech – to carry this industry forward."
