Hello! I'm Laura Florence, currently serving as the CCO at Rise and Run, and I have been deeply engaged in the world of ideas and brands for over 30 years. I aspired to be a copywriter at the age of 10 and secured my first internship by 17. Little Laura from the 80s would be thrilled to know that I've worked at numerous prestigious agencies worldwide, including DM9, Ogilvy, Publicis, R/GA, Dentsu Creative and Havas Health.
My portfolio is teeming with campaigns for major brands such as Kotex and Huggies, Mondelez, Oreo, Pampers, Vick, Ariel, Always, Dove, Hellmann's, Nike, Adidas, Disney, Philips, Intel, Sanofi, Pfizer, Novartis, AstraZeneca, J&J, Merck, Mastercard, Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Heineken, Peugeot, Jeep, and others.
What do I bring to the table? A rare blend of creativity, data-driven strategy, content mastery, and business acumen. These skills, refined over decades, empower me to seamlessly navigate various communication disciplines, including the complex DTC and HCP sectors, without compromising my creative vision, while adapting to regulations.
For the past 12 years, I have led teams with a loyal and generous approach. I believe that creativity flourishes in happiness, and my role is to foster the most pleasant environment possible, ensuring that fear and insecurity do not suppress innovation.
As a mentor, I am proud to have guided over 60 women in the communications industry towards achieving their goals. I have a special talent for transforming budding talents into superstars—a fact that my mentees’ LinkedIn profiles will attest to!
Over the past five years, I have also been a juror at the world’s most prestigious award shows, including three jury presidencies, and in 2024, I was serving as a juror at Cannes for the second time.
Beyond advertising, my passions extend into the literary world as an author, and you might also catch me on my podcast "Job pra Ontem." Seeking tranquility? Join me in a yoga class, or find me speaking on stage or leading workshops.
Moreover, I am a proud, unconventional mother and a fervent advocate for diversity and feminism. As a member of the Advertising Week D&I Council and co-founder of MORE GRLS, I am dedicated to creating more opportunities, visibility, and value for female leaders across various intersections.
