During CK Tan’s tenure at Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia, he contributed to winning ‘Agency of The Year’ at Spikes Asia in 2012.
Then as ECD at BBDO Malaysia, he led his team to win ‘Best of Show’ at the Kancil Awards for two years in a row in 2013/14 and Malaysia’s first-ever LIA Grand Prix in 2015. BBDO was also named ‘Malaysia’s Most Awarded Agency’ in 2015 by The Gunn Report and The Directory’s Big Won Rankings—as well as No. 17 on the ‘Most Creative Agency Worldwide Rankings’.
In 2016, CK Tan took up the creative helm as Chief Creative Officer at Amber China—a member of LEO Digital Network. During his 2-year tenure, he guided Amber China to become the only Chinese agency to score metals at every regional and international award show in 2018. Most notably, Amber China was named ‘Independent Agency of the Year’ at the LIA Chinese Creativity Show in 2018.
Some of CK Tan’s best-known campaigns include: KFC ‘So Good’, KFC ‘Phone Stack’, Pictionary ‘Quick Draw Wins’ and Nestle Milo ‘Twisted Football’. He has served as a final round judge at many major award shows, including: D&AD 2017 (Digital Marketing category), AdFest 2016 (Press & Outdoor Lotus Jury President), Loerie Awards 2015 (Print, Outdoor & Craft Jury Chairman), Kancil Awards 2014 (Jury President), Spikes Asia, Ad Stars, One Show Greater China and the Taiwan 4As Creative Awards.
