Jackie Lyons is a dynamic media leader with over 20 years of experience shaping communications strategies that drive real business impact. In September 2024, she took on the role of Chief Planning Officer for North America at Havas Media Network, a newly created position where she reports directly to North America CEO Greg James.
Jackie is deeply passionate about unpicking the role of communications in driving effectiveness for clients. She thrives on blending rich consumer and media insights to uncover breakthrough growth. Her expertise spans a wide mix of category leader and challenger brands across industries including automotive, airlines, utilities, retail, and FMCG, where she has consistently delivered innovative, results-driven solutions.
Before stepping into her North American leadership role, Jackie was the Chief Planning Officer for Havas Media Network UK. There, she launched the Connected Planning Hub, a specialist team designed to supercharge integrated planning and foster collaboration across expert agencies.
Since joining Havas Media Network in 2020 as Head of Planning on the Media Experience (Mx) team, Jackie has been a driving force behind the company’s strategic evolution. Prior to Havas, she spent over five years at Carat London and time at PHD London before then in senior planning roles.
Jackie’s impact on the industry hasn’t gone unnoticed. She was named Future Media Leader of the Year at the 2022 Media Leaders Awards and is a proud member of The Media Leader’s Future 100 Club, a network of the most exciting emerging leaders in the business.
Now, as she leads Communications Planning for North America, Jackie is laser-focused on elevating Havas Media’s Converged process, ensuring that every client strategy is backed by powerful insights, cutting-edge data, and a relentless commitment to effectiveness. She’s not just shaping media plans —she’s shaping the future of how brands connect, engage, and grow.
Beyond her leadership roles, Jackie is also an influential voice in the industry, she has been the author of the advanced certificate for the IPA and has served as a judge for prestigious awards including the LIAs, Clios, Adweek, and the Data & Marketing Association Awards, where she helps recognize and celebrate groundbreaking work in media, creativity, and data-driven marketing. She is a passionate mentor and champion for junior talent, and has recently been appointed as board member of She Runs It.
