Mustafa Sharara is a filmmaker and an entrepreneur who’s currently the co-founder and CEO of Excuse My Content - a video content production agency, a house of creatives and filmmakers who bring the craft of film into the advertising world, offering a complete designed experience from concept creation to production. Following his passion for media, Sharara started his journey in the media field when he worked in several projects including commercials, short movies & took several workshops in production & creative direction, then started up his first production company winning INJAZ Startup Competition 2015. His work has been recognized by several local and international organizations such as National Geographic, The World Bank, MBC Group, Samsung Mobile, Huntgram, El Bawaba & finally featured on Cairo Scene among the list of 25 under 25 most successful, bravest and most impactful entrepreneurs of 2016. Sharara was mentored by Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Pinterest, Twitter, Airbnb, VISA & Autodesk in San Francisco, California after joining a mini acceleration program by Techwadi. Mustafa was immersed in his responsibilities as an ambassador for #thisisegypt campaign having a photo that he took of Fayoum in a billboard in New York Times Square in 2016. So catch him managing the excused team, producing video content or photographing Cairo’s extravagant streets. Sharara has been lately selected to be part of 100 Young Arab Media Leaders Program second batch at the Arab Youth Center based in Abu Dhabi, UAE founded by HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed. In late 2019, Sharara Launched a new sub brand from Excuse My Content, an educational arm name SYNC School. SYNC is a school for the unconventional, the restless minds and the visionaries. It’s there to create a space for those whose thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched. At SYNC we strive to connect creatives together, show them extent of their talents, and allow them to work together to create the best content they can, be it filmmaking or advertising, SYNC is the place to learn, make and grow.
