Angie’s creative journey didn’t begin inside an agency -- it began live on air. As a radio DJ and newscaster for some of Metro Manila’s top FM stations, she learned how to deliver stories that cut through noise and connect instantly. That instinct for clarity and emotional connection continues to shape how she approaches her work in advertising.
Today, as Executive Creative Director of Havas Ortega Manila, Angie leads culturally grounded campaigns that transform social issues -- from public health to women’s empowerment -- into ideas that invite participation and action. Her work has earned recognition at major regional and global award shows, and she has served as a juror for Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, ADFEST, The ANDY Awards, One Asia Creative Awards, the ADC Awards, and D&AD, among others.
Beyond her agency role, Angie is deeply committed to the industry’s growth. She is a frequent speaker and panelist at local advertising events. A three-time Creative Guild Director, she served as 2024 President of the 4As Philippines Creative Guild, leading initiatives that strengthened creative standards and championed inclusivity across the local ad community. Angie has run local young creatives competitions, judged Young Lions in Cannes twice, contributed to emerging talent development for D&AD Shift, served as a Young Guns juror, mentored at Portfolio Night Manila, and judged Young LIA Creative LIAisons competitions and the Alternative School in Romania — experiences that have sharpened her ability to spot potential and nurture talent.
A passionate advocate for women in leadership and inclusive creativity, Angie also champions lifelong learning by building a creative hub for writers, artists, and curious minds in her home province in the Bicol region — extending mentorship far beyond the agency walls.
