Matt MacDonald is the Chief Creative Officer of VCCP US, where he oversees all creative output and serves as a business leader alongside CEO Brett Edgar and International Chief Strategy Officer Jonny Shaw. He joined VCCP US at a time of significant momentum — the agency is in its fifth consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth and has been expanding its U.S. client roster with brands including Spectrum, White Claw, Google, Primark, and Barclays.

Matt is a global creative leader with over twenty years of experience across some of the world's most celebrated agencies. Before joining VCCP US, he served as Chief Creative Officer of BBDO New York, one of the world's most awarded and effective creative agencies, leading creative for a diverse set of clients including GE, FedEx, Mars, Bacardi, Wells Fargo, and Meta Reality Labs. 

He joined BBDO in 2014 to lead creative on AT&T, the agency's largest account in America, and in 2016 spearheaded Omnicom's win of AT&T's $2 billion combined media and creative business — a landmark pitch that resulted in a reinvented agency model uniting creative, media, and data. 

Prior to BBDO, Matt spent a decade at JWT New York, joining as a copywriter in 2003 and rising to Chief Creative Officer in 2012, leading the agency to its best award show performance in over a decade. 

Throughout his career, Matt and his teams have won every major industry award across disciplines multiple times, including Cannes Gold Lions in Film, Branded Content, Digital, and Mobile. He also serves as an instructor for D&AD's Shift program, mentoring underrepresented creatives breaking into the industry and as a LIA Creative LIAisons coach.
