Hey, I’m Ricardo Avilés, one of the Chief Creative Officers at LePub México.

Over the past few years, alongside my creative partner, I've started up and run agencies always pushing them to hit their creative peak. Back at Dentsu Creative, I led the agency’s merger and built a culture that didn’t just score wins at big international festivals, but also landed us a spot on Fast Company’s list of the 100 most innovative workplaces around.

Now at LePub, I’m in charge of creative work for brands like Tecate, Heineken, Amstel, YouTube Music, Oreo, and Trident. In our first two years, my partner and I made LePub the #1 agency in Mexico at Cannes Lions 2025, #1 in North America at LIA, #4 in Iberomerica, and the top agency in Mexico at the Círculo Creativo. I focus on coming up with ideas that really connect with people, the kind you end up talking about over beers at a bar.

Throughout my career, I’ve picked up more than 200 awards, including a Grand Prix for Good at Cannes Lions, and Mexico’s first D&AD Yellow Pencil.

“I think that, as an industry, we owe a lot to new talent and younger generations. Somewhere along the way, we stopped doing enough to attract the kind of people who can bring fresh ideas and add value to agencies. If we can help by mentoring them, sharing why we’re still passionate about advertising, and showing them that this business can still be exciting, then that’ll be time well spent on our side.”
