The Creative LIAisons was a breakthrough in my creative career. It gave me the creative confidence I needed to know my value and place in the advertising world.

A brief background: I used to work as an auditor for Ernst & Young Philippines (I’m a Certified Public Accountant by profession). But I knew I was meant for a deeper, creative calling. I resigned after two years of working for the firm, took my Masters in Marketing, graduated, then by fate and faith, became a Copywriter.

I have been in the industry now for almost four years. Living my dream job is my every day consolation. Being a copywriter, I wear it with much pride. Then this year, I joined the contest sponsored by Adobo magazine. With the age limit being 30 and I was turning 30 this year, I insisted on joining. Win or lose, at least I knew the answer. By fate and faith again, the advertising Universe aligned in my favor. I represented our country together with Karl Garcia.

So, thank you, LIA team. I owe you a lot. The learnings and wisdom from the speakers, the camaraderie among delegates, the value you place in young creative like us – these are forever cherished and appreciated. I hope you continue this initiative knowing that it made a wonderful impact in my life. Hope to hear more from the organization soon.
