CAA Marketing was the driving force behind Coca-Cola’s long-standing partnership with American Idol and Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS film franchise. Recent successes include the first-ever Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Branded Content and Entertainment for Chipotle’s content-driven “Cultivate” campaign, which included the short film BACK TO THE START featuring Willie Nelson covering Coldplay. The campaign also won the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Film, two gold Effie Awards, and “Best in Show” at the Andy Awards, Clio Awards, AICP Awards, and One Show Entertainment. Most recently, CAA Marketing worked with Chipotle to create its new “Scarecrow” campaign. The campaign’s short film generated more than 5.5 million viewers in its first week.
Coulter is also helping to develop products, brands, and content for the agency’s professional athletes, musicians, and television and motion picture talent. In addition, he plays an advisory role in CAA Ventures, which invests in digital media and consumer technology businesses with high-growth opportunities, and Star Avenue Capital, an investment vehicle focused on providing growth equity for consumer retail companies.
Prior to joining CAA, Coulter served as Art Director for Wieden + Kennedy, an advertising agency, where he worked with leading brands, such as Nike, ESPN, and others. He created the gold Effie award-winning Jordan BE Lifestyle Campaign, which launched the Jordan Lifestyle Apparel Collection.
Previously, Coulter helped David Droga launch his agency, Droga 5, by creating the viral video “Still Free” with Mark Ecko. The video won the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Cyber.
Coulter was recognized on Advertising Age’s “Creativity 50” list in 2012, and by Adweek on its 2013 “20 Under 40” list.
Coulter graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism and Communications.
