About John:
Based in New York City, John is Creative Chair of by The Network, a global network of the many of the world’s best independent creative agencies.
Prior to this, he held the role of Global Creative Council President at McCann Worldgroup. In this role, he provided creative leadership across McCann's global brands, and worked closely with McCann's creative and strategic leaders across all markets.
Under John’s leadership, McCann Worldgroup achieved the rare feat of both Cannes and Effies Network of the year honors.
Before moving from his native Australia over a decade ago, he was Chief Creative Officer of McCann Melbourne, which became the world’s most awarded agency under during his tenure.
As both a writer and a creative director, John has won over 100 Cannes lions including 8 Cannes Grand Prix, Black and Yellow Pencils at D&AD, One Show Best of Show, and multiple Clio, Spikes, LIA and Webby awards.
John has been named in the Creativity 50: AdWeek’s annual listing of the world’s 50 most influential creative thinkers and doers, and Business Insider ranked him the 8th most creative person in advertising worldwide.
