The best shows have the best judges. Like attracts like.
So, appointing the right judges is a serious business. LIA puts careful thought and consideration into selecting the best frontline practitioners to sit on the juries. Every year, the jury members are high-profile professionals from diverse communities internationally; each accomplished in their field and acclaimed by their counterparts in the industry. Having a diversified jury (DEI) across the world - companies, networks, holding companies, independent companies to clients means having different points of view that would eventually lead to the best work being funneled through.
There is a big weight of responsibility to push the most notable work to the top. That’s why, in the interest of total fairness, every jury member must see every piece of work from the get-go. No pre-judging off-site. And any juror who has a vested interest in a piece of work must abstain.
Peter is the Regional CCO of TBWA\Asia & CCO of TBWA\Singapore.
He started his TBWA journey at Hunt Lascaris in 2000, launching BMW’s global 6 Series campaign. In 2004, he worked with TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles to create the Pedigree Worldwide “Dogs Rule/We’re for Dogs” campaign. In 2007, he co-founded Metropolitan Republic, leading MTN’s celebrated 2010 FIFA World Cup “Ayoba” campaign across 18 African markets.
Returning to TBWA\Hunt Lascaris in 2014 as CCO, he propelled it to South Africa’s Best Individual Agency (2015, 2018–2021) and helped it earn Cannes Lions Regional Agency of the Decade Runner-up for Africa & the Middle East (2020). He also modernized the Creative Circle as Chairperson (2018–2020) and sat on the Loeries, Facebook EMEA Creative Council, and Growth Ten advisory board.
In 2022, Peter took the global CCO role for adidas at TBWA\Neboko Amsterdam, launching their new brand platform ‘You Got This.’ In 2024, he moved to Asia to enhance TBWA’s regional creative output and nurture talent, while also serving as interim CCO for Hilton North America/Global at TBWA\Chiat\Day NYC, leading its ‘For the Stay’ refresh.
With over 500 awards—including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clios, and Effies—Peter’s work has been featured in Cannes Lions Game Changers, Fast Company, and The Good Report. He’s judged at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Dubai Lynx, Loeries, Effies, AICP and Ciclope Africa, won Industry Leader of the Year (Financial Mail, 2020), and was South Africa’s Most Admired Creative Leader (2020–2022, Marklives).
Beyond advertising, he launched lifestyle brand Zero One One and consulted on film and TV projects like Stone Cold Jane Austin and Ayeye.
