Dr. Stephan Vogel, Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy EMEA, is responsible for over 50 offices. He joined Ogilvy as a copywriter in 1997. Throughout the years, Stephan has achieved one creative leadership milestone after another. Since 2009, as Chief Creative Officer, he led creatives in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Berlin. In 2011, he became a member of the Ogilvy Worldwide Creative Council, the top global creative Creative Officer, he led creatives in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Berlin. In 2011, he became a member of the Ogilvy Worldwide Creative Council, the top global creativeboard. He was later appointed to the Worldwide Executive Leadership Team of the Ogilvy Group in February 2019.
Stephan is definitely no stranger to awards shows, having judged all of the world’s most recognizable awards shows and leading his teams to win several hundreds of those awards. According to WARC, Ogilvy was named the #1 Most Creative Network in the World in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Adding to this, under his leadership Stephan made Ogilvy EMEA the strongest region within the network.
With psychology and theory of science as his fields of research, Stephan Vogel, or to be precise, Dr. Stephan Vogel completed his Doctorate in Mannheim and Munich with a scholarship from the Foundation for the Highly Gifted. Stephan has since gone on to author books on “Envy” and “The Psychology of Human Emotions: A Blueprint for an Exact Science of Feelings.”
In accepting his role as Jury President, Stephan said, "As Shakespeare put it: To be or not to B2B. I was born and raised in B2B. In my first agency, I did advertising for power cranes and house drain pipes. At Ogilvy, I started with IBM, SAP and I pitched and won Siemens globally. I presented my latest B2B campaign #AdvantageUkraine to President Zelensky himself. It has collected over 15 billion in investments for the country. Yes, I love B2B and I am looking forward to meeting and leading the LIA jury, to feel the same passion in other crazy ones."
Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said, “B2B marketing isn’t easy. Nor has it ever been considered glamorous or sexy. It is all these reasons that make it so much more interesting. You can’t hide behind gloss or novelty. Hence, it challenges creative people – they need to find a creative way to tell a more compelling story to a very savvy market. Stephan Vogel, with his experience of rolling up his sleeves and working on what some may consider as humdrum products, will definitely be a great guide for his jury as they look at B2B. It’s not boring to boring anymore as the past winning work in this competition has shown that the work is getting bolder and better.”
Jury members will convene in Las Vegas for the judging process. All rounds of judging are done on-site at the Encore @ Wynn Hotel. Every judge is required to see every piece of work in their respective media. These panels decide on the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Statue Winners, as well as the Finalists. Each panel, at their discretion, also decides on whether a Grand LIA will be awarded.
As there is no off-site pre-judging, all judges are fully involved right from the beginning to the end, so everyone is privy to the final results before they are published.

Notes to the Editor:
London International Awards (LIA) is a Creative Awards Festival, established in 1986, by Barbara Levy, President. Barbara was the first woman to found and operate an International Awards Show honoring multiple media types. 39 years later, LIA continues to hold the unique distinction of being the only international award owned by a woman and having a full-time staff of only women.
LIA stands as a champion of the creative process, creatives themselves, and of course, great creative ideas and executions. We are proud to award the best creative work each year in all forms of media: Advertising, Design, Package Design, Data, Technology, Craft, Health, Pharma, Music, PR, Innovation, Strategy, B2B and much more.
That’s why every year, LIA invites industry leaders and trendsetters on both the creative and client side, assembling the most celebrated people for 10 days of judging in Las Vegas. To cut through the thousands of entries to get to the metal, you need the best jurors from diverse communities – not just meeting DEI standards but having true representation from across the regions, companies, networks, holding companies, independent companies to clients.
All members on our diverse global jury panels, including the Jury Presidents, judge all entries in their respective competitions with the exception to work that they personally collaborated on or was entered from their company. The LIA judging process requires that jurors are onsite for all judging from the first round through statue discussions. There is no pre-judging to narrow the entries.
The exclusive and sought-after, Creative LIAisons educational program, funded by LIA, was implemented in 2012, as a way of giving back to the industry that supports us. Our mission is to develop, educate, inspire and nurture emerging talent. That in a nutshell is the driving purpose behind the Creative LIAisons initiative. What began as a vision in 2012, became a zeal which crystallized into the Creative LIAisons Global Coaching Academy. This game-changing training academy is a powerful springboard for the current and next generation of talent. Consisting of both onsite and virtual programs, approximately 300 Creative LIAisons Mentees participate annually.
