Awarding Social Influencers and the Brands They Represent

29 July 2019
In a marketplace that is now flooded with influncers how do you choose the right one to represent your brand?   LIA found that Social Influencer Marketing is a viable and relevant category in the current landscape of our industry. Winning a LIA, an international award for creatives is a way to stand out in the crowd.

LIA Social Influencers categories, range from automotive to beauty, fashion and lifestyle. There are also creative technique categories, from production to post production and Innovative use of social media, as well.

This year, The NEW and Social Influencers jury will be presided over by Dominic Stallard, Experience Centre Leader and Chief Creative Officer of PwC South East Asia Consulting Experience Centre.

In 2018, influencer marketing became more ubiquitous. Lots of brands, especially fashion, beauty and lifestyle, are becoming ever reliant on Social Influencers. This is especially so as brands are seeking channels to leverage the reach and efficacy of mobile and social media audiences, and capitalize on the time spent on mobile devices. Research has shown that influencer marketing is one of the most cost efficient ways to build brand awareness, reach out to new audiences, convert consumers and make them stay with the brand longer or establish brand authority.

“Social Influencers wield a lot of power. Customers today are looking for more information and followers tend to consider these influencers as friends. They really value their opinions and trust their recommendations. Brands are always looking for greater engagement with their target audience.  Influencer marketing is a great opportunity for brands to interact with their target with relevant content,” explained Barbara Levy, President of LIA. “We are looking forward to seeing fresh and creative ways that brands are benefiting from Social Influencer marketing in this year’s judging.”

Maddie Raedts, Founder and CCO of IMA Amsterdam, who has been helping LIA curate the Social Influencers categories, added, “I think the most important thing to note when it comes to engagement for a social influencer campaign is authenticity. If your influencer, brand or campaign isn’t authentic then the consumer isn’t going to buy into the product or service.”

The best influencer marketing comes when it is a true creative partnership between influencer and brand. Influencers are powerful creative talents. LIA was Created for Creatives. Judged by Creatives.

The LIA entry system is accepting entries through the 15th August.  Judging is held from 1st - 10th October 2019 in Las Vegas. Winners and Finalists will be announced by 4th November 2019.
