2022 LIA BRANDED ENTERTAINMENT JURY PRESIDENT

GEOFF EDWARDS REFLECTS ON LIA JUDGING AND THE WINNING WORK

LIA Interviewed Geoff Edwards, Executive Creative Director at GALE and Co-Founder of SATURDAY MORNING. Geoff discusses LIA judging, trends he saw in this year's work within the Category, work that stood out and why the jury awarded no Grand LIA.

Geoff comments, "There's no Grand this year and the reason why there is no Grand is becuase the LIAs celebrate the best work in the world, so although we had Silvers that we felt very good about and Golds we felt great about, we didn't have one piece this year that stood out as the best work in the world."

LIA 2022 TRANSFORMATIVE BUSINESS AND CREATIVE USE OF DATA JURY PRESIDENT ADRIAN MILLS SHARES INSIGHTS ON THESE COMPETITIONS AND THIS YEAR'S WINNERS

LIA interviewed Adrian Mills, Lead Partner, Creative Brand Advertising at Deloitte Digital. Adrian discusses his judging experience, the work and the Grand LIAs!

Adrian comments, "The caliber of the jury that I worked with has been brilliant. There's a real sharing of values, sharing of standards and a real diversity of opinion, which I think has really meant that the best work has come to the top. I will say that a great jury is one where people's arguments change the opinions of other people and they feel respected through the process. Time and again the opinions, the knowledge and the insight of the jurors was at a standard that meant people were changing their minds and were seeing what other people were seeing and I think that's helped the best stuff win."

As this was only the second year of the Transformative Business Impact Competition at LIA, Adrian goes on to say, "The caliber of entries this year was higher than last year. That's what you really want. This award is set up to try and attract ideas where creativity is solving a business problem not just communicating the solutions of other people."
