SINGAPORE TAKES HOME EIGHT STATUES AT 2018 LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

(New York, 5th November 2018) LIA, one of the most prestigious Global award shows in Advertising, Digital, Technology driven work, Health & Pharma and Branded Entertainment, today announced the winners. The 33rd Annual London International Awards judging convened over a 10-day period. The Juries, drawn from the world’s most recognized talent and presided over by industry leaders, viewed and scored every entry within their medium, ensuring that all the work was judged equally.

 

Singapore brought home eight of the coveted LIA statues - 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 5 Bronze. In total 705 LIA statues, in addition to finalists, were awarded from 40 countries.

 

“Singapore has once again showcased their talent on the world creative arena.  Well done. Congratulations to all the winners” said Barbara Levy, President of LIA.

 

On judging LIA, Marco Versolato, Chief Creative Officer at JWT Singapore and LIA Digital juror stated, Taking part of an International Festival as a Jury always is an amazing experience, but LIA exceeded my expectations. First, the location: Las Vegas is a funny contradiction, the biggest gambling place on earth vs a festival where there is no space to gamble. Perfect organization, time enough to judge and discuss the work, the high level jury members, it was a unique experience: fair with each submission and tough on the criteria. If you won a LIA award, you must be more than happy. I left LIA with new friends and much better criteria.”

 

Ogilvy Singapore sees great success, with a total of six statues - two Gold LIAs, one Silver and three Bronze. Four different juries awarded all the metal for the same piece of work.

  • Bronze - Health & Wellness - Craft - Direction for Pond's Men Lightning Oil Scrub titled “Bodybuilder”
  • Bronze - Production & Post-Production - Direction for Pond's Men Lightning Oil Scrub titled “Bodybuilder”
