Dr. Stephan Vogel (born in 1963) is Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Germany. He is responsible for the offices in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin. In 1997 he started as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Frankfurt. Since 2011 he is Member of the Worldwide Creative Council, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwides’s leading Creative Board.
He is a member of the Art Directors Club Germany, a member of its board since 2008 and since November 2012 ADC President. In this position Stephan Vogel has initiated – in conjunction with the GWA (German Advertising Association) – a new and genuine ADC Creative Ranking as well as a GEW Effectiveness Ranking. He has won numerous creative awards at international shows such as D&AD, LIA, Clio or the One Show – securing more than 50 Lions at Cannes in the last few years.
Stephan has a PhD in psychology and scientific theory from the Universities of Mannheim and Munich funded by the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and has published books on the subject of "Envy" and "The psychology of emotions: An outline of an exact science of emotions".
He has – among others - been a jury member of Cannes Lions, LIA, D&AD, Clio, New York Festivals, ADC Germany, ADC of Europe and Epica.
