Joe joined Ogilvy in 2000 as Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer of the Chicago office. He was appointed Co-Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy USA in 2017 and promoted to Deputy Worldwide Chief Creative Officer in 2018.
Under Joe’s creative leadership, Ogilvy topped WARC’s Global Creative 100 rankings in 2022 and 2021. He also led Ogilvy to win Global Network of the Year at LIA and Clio in 2021. Prior to taking on his global role, Ogilvy Chicago was named the 2018 Clio Awards “Agency of the Year.” He was part of the creative team that won the 2006 Grand EFFIE for Dove's ”Campaign for Real Beauty." His work has also won numerous Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clios, Communication Arts, London International Awards, and D&AD Awards.
Joe was named the seventh­ most­ awarded Chief Creative Officer in the world in the Drum Report’s 2018 Worldwide Creative Rankings. He has twice been named to Adweek's Creative All-Star team, as well as, Crain's "40 under 40" list. Joe has served on Ogilvy's Worldwide Creative Council since 2003.
