History Of The Awards

London International Awards began, as the name says, in London in 1986. LIA was the first truly international competition of its kind. We were the first to accept entries from all over the world in Television, Radio and Print being judged within its medium, no matter what region of the world they were entered from.
 
In 2012, after lengthy talks with many of the top creatives from around the world, LIA decided to forego the London award show to invest in the future of the industry. Creative LIAisons, a program fully funded by LIA, was the result of this decision.
