Attending the 2016 Creative LIAisons programme was a great experience. Out of all the speakers one of my favourites was, Ted Royer of Droga5. I really enjoyed hearing about his relaxed you-don’t-always-have-to-save-the-world attitude towards advertising. We work in a demanding industry, and when you’re counting the hours to the next deadline you sometimes forget to just have fun with the brief. His talk reminded me how important it is to allow yourself, and the one’s you work with, to goof around more at work.
Hearing the speakers was great, but what probably inspired me the most was meeting all the young and extremely talented creatives at the conference. Keeping the attendee number low allows you to tie stronger bonds with the people that one day will be industry leaders. And that is in the end what makes the Creative LIAisons programme so special.
