Adrian has spent his formative years in a communist Eastern Europe, allegedly not the best instruction for an ad man. This rather equipped him with a relentless challenger spirit and a capacity for resilience, valuable traits for navigating the testing world we’re living in.
You can find the same resourcefulness in the work Adrian has led, with campaigns spanning from local challenger brands (Bread Exam for Spinneys in Lebanon or Eat a Swede for the Swedish Food Federation) to global mega brands such as Mastercard, Ikea or L’Oréal. This has led to multiple recognitions and awards for creativity and leadership, such as being named Campaign Magazine’s EMEA Creative Person of the Year.
Adrian spearheads Mastercard creative globally and the McCann creative community in Europe since 2016, and, under his tenure, the network has achieved multiple milestones in creativity, including the Cannes Lions European Network of the Year, Campaign’s Magazine Agency Network of the Year in Europe 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. Most recently Adrian led Mastercard’s 'Where to settle' project, meant to help Ukrainian refugees build a new life in neighboring Poland. The project has won multiple accolades and is being rolled out across the world.
