With 20 years under her belt crafting memorable moments for brands such as Google Africa, Volkswagen, TikTok, Adidas, Vodacom/Vodafone, Uber and Burger King, Ana has always driven relevance and meaning into the work, regardless of channel.
Currently the Executive Creative Director for VMLY&R Cape Town, she is drawn to brands that stand for something, and change how people engage with products. Her work speaks to a non-traditional approach to creativity, delivering on creative effectiveness, driven by deep human insights at the core – it’s always all about people.
She's a firm believer in collaboration and the magic that happens when different skills and ways of thinking are brought together around a problem. Her experience in South Africa, and the African continent at large, bring context and perspective on the diversity and multiplicity of audiences.
Her work has been recognised at Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Effies, Loeries and Bookmark Awards. In 2017 she was ranked one of the top five creatives in the Official EMEA Rankings, and she was the winner of South Africa’s first Mobile Lion at Cannes Lions. Ana serves as a jury member at Loeries awards and Bookmarks (South Africa) and was a jury member of the 2019 Red Apple Awards (Moscow). Ana is a member of the Creative Circle board, and believes that local innovation can change lives and shape the future of African Creativity.
When she's not leading compelling brand work, and mentoring young creative talent, you will catch Ana being a mom to a 7 year old adventurer, exploring her love for street art and her never-ending passion for food.
