LIA Interview with 2022 Digital and Social Media & Influencers Jury President, Bas Korsten, Global Chief Creative Officer of Wunderman Thompson
Bas talks about the judging experience, jury criteria, why the jury liked certain projects and what makes these projects Grand worthy.
He elaborates on why the jury awarded a Grand LIA in Digital for 'Data Tienda' from Mexico. This piece of work made a substantial change in people's lives.
Bas comments, "As a jury you look for things that make a true impact in the world and inspire people to think about other innovative ways to deal within the category...and this project did both, so we felt it was a well deserved Gand LIA."
Bas also explains why this jury did not award a Grand LIA in Social Media & Influencers. "We felt that we needed to have something that would inspire people to go out and do daring things and in the Social Media & Influencer category it just felt like the work was really good, but nothing was at that level...so we felt like the Golds were solid Golds, but that we wouldn't go beyond that."
