Emiliano González De Pietri is Chief Creative officer at McCann Spain and Chief Creative Integration Officer at McCann Worldgroup, overseeing creative development across all agencies. Born in Milan, raised in Madrid, and schooled in New York, Emiliano has worked out of six countries and three continents.
He joined McCann in 2021. A year later Madrid became the second most awarded office in the McCann global network at Cannes Lions and Emiliano was chosen as Spain’s Creative of the at El Ojo de Iberoamérica. Under his command, McCann Spain has become IKEA’s first-ever global advertising partner.
Prior to McCann, Emiliano spent eight years at Grey. As CCO of Grey Peru and Grey Colombia he transformed the creative reputation of both offices, helping establish Grey LATAM as Cannes Lions Network of the Year for two years in a row. He then went on to become Global Executive Creative Director, headquartered in New York; CCO of Grey Canada; and Executive Creative Director, Europe out of Grey London. During these years, Emiliano drove work globally for Volvo, GSK, Carlsberg, and Pringles, and executed campaigns such ‘Payphone Bank,’ winner of the first-ever Grand Prix awarded to a Colombian agency, and Gillette ‘First Shave,’ winner of the first-ever Glass Lion awarded to a male brand.
